Comic Book Classes

I am visually and aurally dyslexic. I did not learn to read until after 2nd grade. The summer before 3rd grade, my father began buying me a comic book of my choice each week-end. Always, I chose Huey, Dewey and Louie. There have been studies that indicate visual perspective viewing stimulates our brains to learn. Why not? Did we not use sight to locate our food sources? Distance perspective continues to be essential for identifying danger, travel and shelter. Look at our current sports obsessed world. For my eight-year-old person, visuals stimulated learning words to correlate with comic book character actions. Perhaps, my offering comic books and how to create a comic book will help improve another’s literacy.
